Monique Nadeau has a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, Suma Cum Laude, from the University of Ottawa. She has received her A.R.C.T. Performance Diploma for piano. For several years, she studied at the Orford Summer Music Academy in Quebec. She has also performed at many masterclasses for internationally renowned pedagogues and pianists at the University of Ottawa. She has been a Canadian Music Competition national finalist in piano, Kiwanis Music Festival provincial finalist for piano and voice, ORMTA winner in piano, and a NATS winner for voice. She has performed solo classical piano and voice repertoire at various Embassies in Ottawa and other community concerts. For several years, she has been an active collaborative pianist for vocalists and instrumentalists. She has performed a vast amount of classical and contemporary solo repertoire in voice and piano for several concerts and recitals She has been trained in the RAD Program (Royal Academy of Dance) Pre-Elementary and Elementary Level in Ballet and also trained in Modern, Tap and Jazz dance styles. Monique performed as a child actor in the Livent production of “Showboat” at the National Arts Centre. She performed major roles in the ballet “The Nutcracker” as Clara, the Nutcracker boy, and Snowflake in an Ottawa dance studio production. In Ottawa, she has been teaching for several years in piano and more recently in voice. She wants to continue her studies in the performing arts to further her artistic career. Monique has always been passionate about the arts and wants to share that joy to others in her teaching.
